Opportunities is your CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) where you can manage prospective jobs. Anyone who reaches out to you with interest about a new job can be managed here.
To create a new opportunity on the desktop app, use the Opportunities menu from the left navigation bar to open that section, then use the New Opportunity button in the top right corner.
On the Eano Pro mobile app, use the blue + button in the lower right corner to create a new opportunity, and use the Quick Create option to use standard options. The mobile view also had an AI option, which allow you to use a photo and quickly render basic view of countertop and cabinet color changes.
You’ll need to fill out basic information such as client information, property address, and contact information, which is used to send estimates. The phone number must be unique for everyone, and will be verified, so it is best to use real numbers. Please ask for assistance if you need help changing phone numbers.
The Project Scope section is a quick way to add scope sections before final edits. For example, you could have a client who wants to renovate a kitchen, master bathroom, and a kids bathroom. You would create three scope sections here using scope titles Kitchen, Master Bathroom, Kids Bathroom. Since these projects are relatively common, you can use Eano’s preset scope groups and choose the appropriate option from the dropdown menu.
If you do not want to use the Eano prebuilt scope templates, use the Customize option from the dropdown menu. This will also populate a few preset line items, but you can use the bulk edit tool to delete them if you want to start from a scratch.
After creating your opportunity, you can then create the estimate. Open the opportunity details to review scope and milestones.
If you used one of the prebuilt project scopes, once you save the opportunity you can open it up and expand the collapsed line items. In that section there will be a blue box where you can type in a price for that group of line items. You will not need to itemize pricing for all line items in this group.
To add new line items outside of that group, you can specify prices for those items below.
Above: Example of a scope group, where multiple line items roll up to a single cost.
Above: An example of additional line items with their own pricing. These still belong to the scope section above.
In the Scope tab, scroll down to the scope section and click to expand it. Review all the individual line items within that group to add, edit, or delete lines that need updating for that group. If a preset scope is used, you’ll see a common set of line items automatically included within that scope. Please note that all of these line items roll up to a single price for that group, so you will not have to fill in prices for each line.
If I have two scope sections like a kitchen and a bathroom, it may look very compact in the default collapsed state.
The expanded view with the same scope can be lengthy. There are expansion handles to click for each section and sub-section.
Before sending out the estimate, and after reviewing scope, you’ll need to review milestones. These are major project milestones that you want to emphasize with the team or homeowner as a completion phase.
You can choose to make milestones trigger invoices once they are complete. If you want to be able to mark a milestone complete, but not invoice the homeowner, you can simply use $0 for the amount of the milestone.
Once you’ve reviewed the Scope, and Milestones, you can preview and send the estimate from the Scope tab of your Opportunity.
You’ll be able to preview the scope and payment milestones before sending. You can go back to make changes before sending.
The client receives an email and SMS notification (if phone number setup), which will looking something like this:
The client can view details of the quote and sign the contract.
